RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
CONFIRMING CANVASS BY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SANTA
CLARA COUNTY OF SPECIAL PARK ABANDONMENT ELECTION
WHEREAS, th e Registrar of Voters of Santa Clara County
has duly canvass ed th e v ot es cast in the City of Palo Alt o
(here ina fter called th e "City") at a sp ecial municipal elec-
tio n consolidated with the State of California G eneral Electio n
he ld on November 5, 1968, in th e City, by the elect ors of the
City upon the propo sition her ein afte r set f orth, and has
certified to this Co uncil the result of the votes c ast at s aid
election upo n said pro po sition, whi ch said certificati on is now
on file in the office of the City Clerk,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Co uncil of the City
of Palo Alto, as fo'_lows:
SECTION 1. Said ca nva ss by said Registrar of V oters as
shown by said certific ation and the resu lt of said electi on
is hereby ra tified, confirmed an d a pproved.
SECTION 2. At said e lec tion the fo llowing proposition
was submitted to the electo rs of the City and the number of
votes c ast in the City for and a gair:st said pro position was as

Article VIII, Section 3, of the Cha rter of the City
of Palo Alto, so that said area ca n be utilized as a
