Resolution N o. 4026, passed 8-21-67, entitled "Re solution of the Council of the City of Palo Alto Am endi ng Resolution 2971 Designating Po rti ons of Hamilton, W ebster and Lytton One-way Str eets and Restricting Parking Th ereon to C reate a Downtown One-way Street Pla n" and Resol ution N o. 4076, p ass ed 2-5-68, entitle d "Resolution of the Council of the City of Palo Alto Ame nding Resolution 2971 By Prohibiting Parking on Both Sides of University Avenue Betwe en M iddlefield Road and Webst er Street" a re her eby rescinded. SECTION 2. In accor danc e with Section 1 hereof, Section 2 of Resolution No . 2971 e ntitle d "One-wa y Streets a nd All eys" is a mende d to read as said section r ead prio r to the adoption of Re so lution No. 4026 ins ofar as s aid se ction dealt with the por- tions of Hamilton Avenue, We bster Stree t and Lytton Avenue that we re delineated as one-way streets by Reso lution No. 4026. The City Engineer is directed to amend the map e ntitled "Parking Zones Ma p of the City of Palo Alto" a ccordingly. SECTION 3. In acco rda nce with Se ctio n 1 hereof, Section 6 of Resolution No. 2971 entitled "Par king Pr ohibited or Limited in Certa in Places" is resto red to read as sa id section r ead pr ior to the adoption of Re solutions No. 4026 and No . 4076 insofar as said section dea lt with the establishme nt of no -par king zones on certain po rtio ns of Hamilton Avenue , Webster Str eet and Lytton - 1 - • Ave nue set f orth in Resol utio n No . 4026 and University Avenue between Middlefield Road a nd Webster Street as set forth in Resol ution N o. 4076. The City Enginee r is directed to am end the map entitled "Pa rking Zones Map of the City of P alo Alto" accordingly. SECTION 4. The City Manage r is dire cted to proce ed pr omptly to implement the purposes of this resol ution, and the traffic flow and parking pattern that existed pri or to the effective date of Resolutions No. 4026 and N o. 4076 restor ed her eby shall become effective upon the completion of installation of appro priate traffic control devi ces. SECTION 5. The Council has adopted this resol uti on without any legal complusion to do so as the result of the initiative petition filed with the City Clerk on Octobe r 28, 1968, based on adv ice of the City.
