RESOLUTION NO . 4175
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING WEED NUISANCE ABATED
WHEREAS, this Council did on O ct ob er 7, 1968, adopt
its Re solution No . 4166, declaring weeds to be a nuisance and
setting November 4, 1968 at 7:30 p .m. in the City H all as the
time a nd plac e for a hearing of obje ctions to the pr op osed
de struc tion or remova l of weeds; and
WHEREAS, in accor dance with said R esolution N o. 4166,
notice of such hearing was given in the manner provided by
law, as a ppears from the affidavits on file in the Offic e of
the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said matte r came on regularly f or h earing at
the time ther ein fixed; and
WHEREAS, no persons interested appeared or filed
wr itten protest against sa id proce edings or any part thereof
a nd a ll persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity
to be heard, a nd all matters an d things perta in ing to said
weed abatement were fully hear d and consider ed by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Co uncil of the City of Palo Alto
does RESOLVE as follo ws:
SECTION 1. That pro test aga inst sa id wee d abatement be,
and e ac h of them is here by ove rr ule d.
SEC TION 2. Tha t the S:9erintendent of Public Wor ks
(City Engineer ) is he reby o rde red to abate such nuisan ce or
cause the ease to be abated as provided in Chapter 8.08 of the
Palo Alto Municipal Cod e and to do all other things necessary
a nd authorized in said Chapter.
