A RESOLUTION DESCRIBING :ROPOSED BOUNDARIES
OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, DIRECTING FILING OF
MAP AND DIRECTING RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF
ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM
MISCELLANEOUS STREETS PROJECT NO . 67-3
RESOLVED, by the C ouncil of the City of P alo Alto, Calif ornia,
that
WHEREAS, this Council prop oses to undert ake proceedings for
the formation of an assessment district purs ua nt to Resol ution No .
4122 of Preliminary Determination and of Intentio n adopted by said
Coun cil on Ma y 6, 1968;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
I. That the proposed boundaries of said assessment district
to be assessed in said proceedings are hereby described as sh own on
a map of said a ssessmen t district on file in the office of the City
Cler k, which indicates by a bou ndary line the extent of the ter rito ry
included in the pro posed assessment district and which shall govern
fo r all details as to the extent of such district, reference to such
ma p bein g here by made for particula rs. Sa id m ap co ntains the name
of the City a nd a distin ctive designa tion in w ords or by number of
the district shown thereon .
2. That on the original a nd at least one copy of said map
the City Clerk shall endorse her certificate evidencin g the date and
a doption of this reso lution . The Clerk shall file the original of
such map in her office an d within fifteen days after ado ptio n of the
r esolution fixing time an d place of hea ring on the fo rmation or
extent of sa id district, a nd in no e vent la ter than fifteen days
prior to such hearing, sha ll file a copy thereof with the County
Recorder of the County of Santa C in which all of such proposed
assessmen t district is located.
3. Tha t the County Recorder shall endorse on the copy of said
map the time an d date of filing and shall faste n the same securely

in a book of maps of assessment districts which he shall keep in
his office . The County Recorder shall index such map by the name
of the entity c onducting the proceedings and by the distinctive
de signation of the dist rict as shown on said m ap.
4. After co nfirmati on of the assessment by this C ou ncil, the
Clerk shall cau se to be fil ed in the office of the Cou nty Recorder
a copy of the assessment diagr am and shall execute and record a
notice of assessment in the office of th e County Recorder of th e
Co un ty of Sa nta Clara, such notice to be in substantially th e f orm
prov ided in Section 3114 of the Streets and Highways Code. F rom
the de:e of such recording, all persons shall be deemed to have
no tice of the contents of su ch assessment, and e ach of such assess-
men ts sha ll thereupon be a lien upon the property against which it
is made , a nd u nless so oner discharged such liens shall so continue
for the period of four (4) years fro m the date of said record ation,
or in the event bon ds are issu ed to represe nt sa id assessments, then
auch lien s sha ll co ntinu e until the expira tion of four (4) years
afte r the due date of the la st installment upon sa id bonds or of the
last pr incipal coupon attached thereto.
5. That the appro pr ia te officer or officers are hereby
a uthori:e d to pay a ny a nd all fees required by law in connection
with the a bove.
