RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO A LTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO HAROLD L. MARIY, CLARENCE
W. FARMER, HUBERT D. GRAVES AND IRENE W. HARDER OF)N
THE CLOSING OF THE OFFICE OF THE ASSESSOR
The Council of the City of Pal o Alto does RESOLVE as
follo ws:
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has el ected to t ransf er
the fun ctio n of the assessm ent of property fo r City t axes to
the County of Santa Clara; and
WHEREAS, the closing of the Office of the Ass ess or has
resulted in the transfer of Har old L. Ma rty, Claren ce W.
Far mer and Hubert D. Gr aves to the County of Sa nta Cl ar a and
Irene W. Har der to the Departme nt of Administrative Servi ces
of the City; and
W HEREAS, Mr. M arty an d his staff, during their tenur e,
ha ve a ssessed city properties fa irly and impar tially a nd in
the highe st tradition of gover nmental service ; and
WHEREAS, Mr . Marty and his staff have rendere d valuable
assistance to othe r City departme nts in the perfo rmance of their
duties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Co uncil of the
City of Palo Alto hereby grate fully records the appreciatio n
of the membe rs of this Council as well as the a ppreciatio n
of a ll the citiz ens of this community for the excelle nt
and loyal ser vice Harold L. Mar ty, Clarence W. Farme r,
Hubert D. Graves and Ire ne W. H arder hav e given and extend
to them th ei r beat wishes for a continued rewarding career .
