Home My WebLink AboutRESO 4161ORIGIN AL RESOLUTION NO . 4161 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO CONFIRMING THE ENGINEER'S REPORT AND ASSESSMEN T LIST FOR WEED AB ATEMENT WHEREAS, th e Superintendent of Publi c Works (City Engineer) has filed with the City Clerk his co nsolid at ed re- port and a ssessment list for we ed abatement for the fiscal year 1967-1968 as provided in Chapter 8.08 of the P alo Alt o Mun icipal Code; and WHEREAS, a hearing was c alled f or Septembe r 23, 1968 for hea ring any objectio ns to s aid repo rt and assessment list, a nd WHEREAS, the City Clerk has publish ed and posted said report and assessmen t list a nd a n otice of said h earing, as provided in said chapter ; and WHEREAS, pursuan t to sa id notice a public hearing was held on Se ptember 23, 1968. NOW, THEREFORE, the Co uncil of the City of Palo Alto her eby reso lves, finds and determines as follows: 1. That said assessmen t list is in all respects com- plete a nd co rrect and is hereby co nfirmed, and tha t since the filin g thereof, no assessments have been paid. 2. That for a pa rtic ular description of the lots bear- ing the respective assessme nt numbe rs set forth in said as- sessment list an d upon which a ssessme nts rema in unpaid, severally an d respectively, reference is here by made to the assessment list attached hereto and made a pa rt here of. 3. That tt.e unpaid asse ssme nts, as shown on said list and determined by said Co uncil, shall constitute a spec ial assessmen t again st such respective lots or parcels of land shown therein an d shall constitute a lien against such proper ty - 1 - APPROVED: (7 1 yor for the am ount of s uch ass essme nts until paid . The amou nts of such assessme nts against th e resp ective p arcels of l and shall be entered upo n the 1968-1969 tax roll upon which general city ta xes are to be collected . Thereafter, such amou nts shall be collected at the same time a nd in the same man ner as general c ity ta xes are coll ected and shall be subject to the same interest and penalti es and the same pro cedure and s ale in case of de linque ncy. All l aws applicabl e to the levy, collection and e nforceme nt of city taxes are hereby made applic able to such assessments.
