ORIGINAL
RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND
NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACOUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND
COMPLETION BY THE CITY OF PALO ALTO OF THE FOLLOWING
MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT: SEWAGE TREATMENT
FACILITIES; AND THAT THE COST OF SAID MUNICIPAL IM-
PROVEMENT WILL REQUIRE AN EXPENDITURE GREATER THAN
THE AMOUNT ALLOWED THEREFOR BY THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Palo
Alto, as fo llows:
1. That the public in terest and necessity demand
the acqu isition, c onstru ction and co mpletion by said City of
the follo wing municipal improvemen t, to wit:
Sewage Tre atment Facilities: Se wage tr eatme nt
fa cilitie s, includin g tr eatment plant e nla rgements,
trun k and ou tfall line s, pipes, pumps, machinery,
equipment, conne ction s, lands, ea sements, r ights of
wa y a nd o ther wor ks, pr oper ty a nd str ucture s neces-
sary or co nv enien t for sewa ge tr eatmen t facilities
for the City of Palo Alto.
2. That the acquisitio n, constru ction and com-
pletion of said mun icipal improvement is necessary and con-
venient to ca rry out the objects, purpo ses and pow er s of
said City.
3. Tha t the cost of the a cquisitio n, con stru ction
an d completion of said mun icipa l impr ovement is and will be

to o great to be paid o ut of the o rdinary annual income and
revenue of s aid City, and that said mu nicipal improvem ent
will reouire an e xp enditure g reater than the amo unt allowed
the refor by th e annual tax levy and that s aid City sh ould
incu r a bonded indebtedness ther efor.
