RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
WELCOMING AND COMMENDING THE: CALIFORNIA ARTS
COMMISSION ON THE EVENT OF ITS JULY 1966 MEETING IN
PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, th e C alifornia Arts C ommission has accepted the
joint invitation issued by the Co uncil f or the Arts -Pal o Alto
Are a, Syntex Laboratories and St anfo rd Summer F estivals to hold
its July, 1968 meeting at various locations within the City of
Palo Alto ; and
WHEREAS, the Califo rnia Arts Commission p ays great trib ute
to these lea ders in arts programs in our c ommunity by accepting
this invitation; and
WHEREAS, the Commission ha s dedicated itself to fostering
and o therwise pr omoting the a rts in and of Califo rnia; and
WHEREAS, the Commission do es public ly invite:the citizens of
this State to a ttend and participate in its meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto do es hereby welco me the Ca lifo rnia Ar ts Commissio n
to the City, comme nd the Commission for its effor ts in bringing
the atte ntion of the citizens of California to pr oblems in arts
deve lo pment by mee ting in var io us regio ns of the State, extend
ever y good wish for a fruitful and pro ductive me eting, and
strongly urge interested citiz ens of our area to attend the
Co mmission mee ting on July 19, 1968.
