RESOLUTION NO . 4135
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
A MENDING UTILITY RATE SCHEDULE C-3 OF THE CITY OF
PALO ALTO UTILITIES RULES AND REGULATIONS TO EXTEND
THE UTILITY DISCOUNT TO RETIRED CITY EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the City C ouncil of the City of Palo Alto is
desirous of extending to r eti red City employe es the disc ount of
thirty-fiv e per cent 35%) on any applicable City of Pal o Alt o
Utilitie s Ra te Schedule now enjoyed by regular full-time
employees of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Pal o Alto does
RESOLVE that pursuant to Se ction 12 .20.010 of the Palo Alto
Munic ipal Code , Schedule C-3 (being She et No. 135a) of th e Falo
Alto Utilities Rules and Regulations is hereby amended to re ad
as for th in EXHIBIT A a ttached hereto and by ref erence m ad e
a part her eof.

SERVICE TO CITY EMPLOYEES
This schedule appiiet to reside ntial
dwe lling, separately metered flat or

by a City emplo ye e or a retired City
premis es (singl e-f amily
apartm ent) within the City
by the City and occupied
employee.
A discount of thirty-five (35) percent on any applicable City of
Pa lo Alto Utilities Rate Schedule .
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
A. To be eligible to receive the discount, a regular full-time
employee must have co mpleted six months of continu ous regu-
lar employment with the City an d a retire d employee must
have had at least fifte en year s of serv ice with the City.
B. The issuance of the discount shall be subject to further
reasonable rules a nd r egula tions as ma y be prescribed by
the City Mana ger. The procedure fo r qualification and all
inte rpretatio ns as to the applicability of the provision s
of this schedule or suc h rules and regulations shall be made
by the City Manager, whose r ulings shall be final.
