HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 4112u.IINAL RESOLUTION NO. 4112 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO FINDING AND DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE TO THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY. DESIGNATED AS "EL CAMINO REAL ANNEXATION #7:1-68" TO THE CITY OF PALO ALTO WHEREAS, on th e 25th day of March, 1968, the Council of the City of Palo Alto did pass and adopt Resol ution No. 4104 giving notice of the proposal to annex cert ain uninhabited territor y to the City of Palo Alto said ter ritory being therein design ated as "El Ca mino Real Annexation #7:1-68" said Resolution describing the boundaries of the te rrit ory propos ed to be annex ed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 4104 did cont ai n a notice of the day, hour, and place whe n a nd where the Council of the City of Palo Alto would hea r pr otests made by any person owning real property within the terr itor y propo sed to be annexed, the tim e of sa id hea ring be ing no t le ss than forty nor more than sixty da ys from the date of pa ssage of said Re solutio n; and WHEREAS, on the 6th day of M ay, 1968, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber s in the City Hall of the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara , State of Califor nia, said time a nd place be ing the day, hou r an d place fixed in sa id Resolution No. 4104 for hearing protests to the said annex a- tion, said City Council did hear and pass upon all protest made to the proposed annexation a nd did deter mine that prote st had not be en made by public a nd priv ate o wners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annex ed; and WHEREAS, said territory is co ntiguous to the City of Palo Alto, ana is u ni nhabited territ ory in the Cou nty of Sa nta Clara. NOW, THEREFORE, th e Council of the City of Palo Alt o does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. That the Council does hereby find and decla re tha t a majority p rotest has not b een mad e by public and private owner s of one-half of the valu e of th e t errito ry proposed to be anne xed.
