Roll call as ' • Present: PertsChe, Blair, Cathcart, Cooley, Easterday, Jordan, Miller, Snyder, Swain, Terwilliger, Thoits, Thomas Wing. Absent: Peterson, Roller. On motion said petition was referred,to the City Plannin Commis- sion to report. Said pe- tition was received and ordered filed on motion of Thoits, se- conded. by Cathcart. A report was received from the Board of Public lic P Safety recommending > that an appropriation of SC be made to pay the cost of painting lines to designate parking spaces for automobiles on University Avenue and cross streets in tae business district. On motion of Cooley and BertscheU the recommendation was approved and an appropriation of •„>8O was authorized from the incidental fund of the general fund for said purpose by unanimous vote on roll call. Report from Board o A recommendation was received from. ache Board of Public Safety that the Council provide for the purchase of a combina- tion pumping engine, chemical and hose car, and also for the construction of a 12 -inch water main on Talula avenue andMid- dlefield road from the power plant to Melville avenue, and that the City Engineer be directed to furnish estimates of the cos of same. On motion of Thoits and Jordon the matter was referred to the Board of Public Works and the City unaineer to furnis:: estimates and report. to of Commission on Alley: Time Extended.
