The Council • of the City of Palo Alto met on this date at a p.m. , pursuant to adjournment of May, 20, 1919, with Mayor Cooley presiding. Roll call as follows: Presemt : Cathcart, Cooley, Easterday, , Henry, Miller, Roller, Snyder, Swain. - . Absent: Fisher, Jordan, Mosher,- Peterson, Thoi ys. Vai 1, Wing. Canvass of Election Returns. The City Clerk presented• a report summarizing the semi- official returns of the special municipal election held on May 27, 1919, to vote on two. propositions, one to issue bonds in the sum of $20,000 for the purchase of a city hall site and one to issue bonds in the sum of $10,000 for the .purchase of a block of land for a city part. Swain moved that the Council., proceed to open and recount returns on the second proposition. The motion was seconded by Easterday and passed.
