RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
REQUESTING THE APPOINTMENT OF A CIVIC COMMITTEE TO
PLAN APPROPRIATE CEREMONIES AND EVENTS FOR PALO
ALTO'S 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS INCORPORATION AND
THE OPENING OF ITS NEW CIVIC CENTER
WHEREAS, the 75th anniversary of Palo Alto's incorpora-
tion as a city of the State of California will occur on
April 16, 1969; and
WHEREAS, the estimated completion date of Palo Alto's
new Civic Center will also fall in the same year of 1969.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that a civic committee of
thirty five leading citizens of Palo Alto be created to plan
appropriate ceremonies and events for both Palo Alto's 75th
Anniversary and the opening of its new Civic Center; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each councilman be authorized
to make three appointments to the civic committee and that the
Mayor be authorized to make two additional appointments to the
civic committee created by this resolution.
