Kir:oall Letter: ai r A letter from Sherman Kimball relative to street paving and bonds therefor, was read and ordered filed. .Paying Resolution: Passes rriel lecons_idrred. A resolution,- entitled "Resolution Ordering Street Work upon Cowper Street, Lincoln Avenue, Emereon Street (Series 1, 1919) was read and on motion of Thoits and Swain was passed by unanimous vote on roll call. 7.F.Eanrahan add.ree,:,ed the Council, calling attention to a clerical error in the resolution and advising that the work should be done under the 1911 act and the bond act of 1915. On motion of Vail and Roller the vote adopting said resolution was reconsidered. On motion of Vail and Roller said revolution was laid on the tab 1e . At this time Councilmen Cathcart and Fisher took their seats. Adjournment Set for i e:7' :nary 24, 91 A 8 n.m. Vail moved that when_the Council adjourns it adjourn to Monday, February 24, 1919, at 6 p.rn. The motion was seconded by Miller and passed. Ordinance ` . _...SSewer Tiond Election) Passed.. An ordinance, entitled "An Ordinance Calling a Special Election in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California., for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City a proposition to incur a bonded indebtedness to pay thesei4.701. of the acquisition, construction and completion of a sanitary system forall that territoryannexed to the City ' of Palo Alto on December 17th, 1917, for said City of Palo Alto, the cost of which will be too great to be paid out of the ordi- nary annual income and revenue of said City," was introduced and read. Vail :roved that the fourt-h paragraph of Section 5, on Page 5, be amended to read that one twenty-fourth part of said indebtedness shall be payable each year- The notion was seconded by Thoits and passed. On motion of Thoits and Easte'rday the Mayor was author- ized to name the election officers for said election. An invitation from. the Y .'M.C.A. for the Council to par- ticipate in a celebration on February 22nd was read and a motion passed expressing thanks for the invitation.
