HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 4083ORr RESOLUTION NO. 4083 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO FINDING AND DECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE TO THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "TOWER MOTEL ANNEXATION 1-67" TO THE CITY OF PALO ALTO WHEREAS, on the 8th day of January, 1968, the Council of the City of Palo Alto did pass and adopt Resolution No. 4058 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Palo Alto said territory being therein designated as "Tower Motel Annexation 1-67", said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 4058 did contain a notice of the day, hour, and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 26th day of February, 1968, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in i .e City Hall of the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 4058 for hearing protests to the said annexation, said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protest had not beenmade by public and private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Palo Alto, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa Clara. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. That the Council does hereby find and declare that a majority protest has not been made by public and private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed.
