RESOLUTION NO. 4075
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
GREEN ACRES II UNDERGROUND UTILITIES CONVERSION
PROJECT NO. 66-6
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that
WHEREAS, on January 22, 1968, said Council adopted its Resolution
No. 4067 of Preliminary Determination and of Intention to order the
acquisition and construction of certain public improvements, all as
more particularly therein described;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of this City is hereby directed to
publish twice, in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper published and cir-
culated in said City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for
the construction of primary and secondary facilities, splice boxes,
transformer vaults and street lighting facilities and all auxiliary
work, and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the
office of said Clerk, the first of which publications shall be at
]east ten (10) days prior to the time fixed for opening bids.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by cash, a cashier's
or certified check. payable to the order of the City Clerk, amounting
to ten per cent (10%) of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and pay-
able to said Clerk, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or by
the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer com-
petent to administer an oath, indouble said amount and over and above
all statutory exemptions. Said amount so posted shall be forfeited
or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder
depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice
that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with
the City.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City
Clerk of said City on or before 3:00 o'clock P .M. on the 28th
day of February, 1968, said time being not less than ten days from the

time of first publication of said notice. Bids will be opened,
examined and declared by the City Manager in the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Palo Alto, California, and will be referred to and con-
sidered by the Council at its meeting at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the llth
day of March, 1968.

1 hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct
copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Council of the
City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 5th
day of February, 1968, by the following vote of the members thereof:
