Recuest of Grand Army: Granted,
A request from the Grand Army Post for pc:n:iesion to
Iasi city land for Memorial Day exercises was granted.
Resolution of Planning Commission.
A resolution entitled, "Resoluticn of the City Planning

:ozzti sion Relating to hotels, Lodging houses and Tenements,"
and recommending the enactment of an ordinance s,47omit:.ed with said
resolution, was read and on motion was accepted.

Ordinance #169, entitled, "An Ordinance cr the City of
Palo Alto Relating to the Erection, Construction, Reconstruction,
emovi ng, Alteration, Use and Occupancy of hotel:;. Ledgine houeee
and Tenement houses, and the Use and Occupancy of the Premises
and Land in Connection with said 2uildings," was introduced and
:Cad and on motion of Thoits, seconded by Swain, was passer: ;-s an
me:gency ordinance by unanimous vote on roll call.
Use of City Land for Baseball Authorized.
Mr. Swain submitted a request from the sub -committee on
athletics of the Recreation Commission that the city permit the
;:se of a portion of its leased land for a baseball diamond.
