RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO FRED W. FLETCHER UPON
HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, FRED W. FLETCHER has served the City of Palo Alto
since 1935 as a full time employee with the Water -Gas -Sewer
Department, working as a gas meter exchangeman, meter reader,
serviceman and field clerk; and
WHEREAS, FRED W. FLETCHER also served this community as a
member of the volunteer firemen until that organization was
abolished in 1949.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records the appreciation of the
members of this Council as well as the appreciation of the
citizens of this community for the long and faithful service
of FRED W. FLETCHER to the City of Palo Alto and extends to him
their good wishes for a long and happy retirement.
