The Mayor reported a t a committee had waited on the
4yr•„ County Supervisors in the matter of an appropriation to aid in
paying the salary of a woman protective officer, a h

pledged Stanford University to pay 117.00 ' month toward the
salary of such protective officer.

Plans for an automobile bus station were submitted by
the City Planning Commission, b ,b tr e'_" with a report reeo!'%v'^e'iding
that an appropriation be made for the cost of erecting such sta-
tion, and that $450.00 in the Co:r_ris ;ion budget be diverted to this
purpose.
On motion of Vail and. Swain the matter was referred to
Committee j#4.
Pickwick Sta -es : hearino Postponed.
The hearing of the application of •the Pickwick Stages for
a permit to use the streets of Palo Alto for -its auto buses was
taken up and as no representative of the company was present, on
motion the hearing -was continued until the next regular. meeting.
At this time Councilman Jordan was excused.
Ordinance #l66 Passed.
