The Council of the City of Palo Alts' net on this date at 7;30 p.m., pursuant to adjournment of January 14, 1913, with Mayor Cooley presiding. Roll call as follows: Present Congdon, Cooley. A recommendation was received from Committee n`2 that a:: appropriation of ';60.06 be made from the unexpended balance in the general fund to the Health Department fund of the Board of Public Safety for printing the annual report of the Health Department. On motion of Mosher, seconded by Snyder ( .j. ). said appropriation was made by unanimous vote on roll call. : .,ene'd for $66000 Bone Issue. This being the time for opening bids for the purchase of the $66.,000 Power Plant Bonds of 1915, the Mayor announced that such procedure was in order. The following bids were open- ed read and publicly declared: Girvin & Miller, Par Value of $66,000, accrued interest and premium of $552.00. 31yth, Witter & Co., Parvalue of x+66,000, accrued intereut and premium of $257.40 The Bank of Palo Alto: Par Value of $66,000, accrued interest and premium of $13.00 An application was received from Franie Critchett to be appointed fiscal agent of the city for the sale of said bonds, e to agree to sell the bonds at par and the city to pay hid': 2o40 for his services. F.esolution: Sale :ids to Thoits moved, seconded by Congdon, that the hid of Girvin and. Miller be accepted and the motion was passed. A resolution entitled "Resolution Providing for the Sale of Palo Alto Power Plant Bonds of 1918' was read. Said re- eolution declares the bids received end awards the se1e of said bonds to Gir--in and r:iiller, at the par, value of :,66,00C, accrued interest and premium of $552. On motion of Snyder ` J. seconded by Mil3.er, .� ;-_, d -: the re- aolution wvae adopted by uranimoue vote on roll call. A resolution was read stating, °Tnat it le the sense of council that no person be employed by, cr continue in the em - ;10Y of, the City of Palo Alto whose actions and conduct prove hip t' be antagonistic to our government." He thought the city ohould bear such expense. The City Attorney stated that the record rnacie at that time was il- legal. Mother moved that the treasure, be authorized to pay the cost of such releases and present the bill to the City. The mo- tion was seconded by Congdon and passed by unanimous vote on roll call. The City Attorney was instructed to determine whether a record of these proceedings cannot be removed from the books of the county recorder.
