The Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date,
at 7:30 p.m., pursuant to adjournment of December 18, 1917, with
yayor Cooley presiding. po11 call as follows:
Present: Cooley, Henry, , Jordan, Lesley, Trifler. Mosher, `'oller,
Snyder (J.0,) T tits, Vail.

Ordinance No. 162, entitled, 7RAn Ordinance calling a
special election in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, for the purpose of submitting to the uali-
fied voters of said City a proposition to incur a bonded indebted -
:less to pay the cost of the acquisition by purchase and install-.
aim of a Diesel engine electric generator. unit for the Municipal
Power Plant of said City, the cost of which will be too greet to
be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said

Miller moved that the said ordinance be adopted. The
notion was seconded by Tho..ve and passed by unanimous vote on roll
