HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 4061WJML:KIJ:mf 1/158 50 RESOLUTION NO. 4061 A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION AND OF INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS CALIFORNIA AVENUE AREA PARKING PROJECT NO. 65-9 RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, as follows: 1. That it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public interest, convenience and necessity require and that it is the inten- tion of said Council to make certain changes and modifications in the property to be acquired, the work to be done, the plans and specifica- tions therefor, and in the estimate of cost and the amount of bonds to be issued, in proceedings being conducted pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 3950, adopted by said Council on January 3, 1967, and to acquire and improve the following property as an offstreet automobile parking lot by demolition, grading, paving, draining, lighting and auxiliary work: All that real property situate in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the southeasterly line of Cambridge Avenue (60 feet wide) with the dividing line between Lots 3 and 4 of the Paul Survey, a map of which was recorded July 9, 1867 in Book "C" of Miscellaneous Maps at page 641, Records of Santa Clara County, California, said point being the most northerly corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed by Frank R. Meagher, et ux to Milton C. Iverson, et ux, by deed recorded July 25, 1966 in Book 7452 of Official Records, at page 98, Records of said County; thence southeasterly along said dividing line 110.00 feet; thence southwesterly at right angles 50.00 feet; thence northwesterly at right angles 110.00 feet to a point on said southeasterly line of Cambridge Avenue; thence north- easterly along said southeasterly line 50.00 feet to the point of beginning, being a portion of said Lot 3. 2. That the City Engineer shall make the necessary changes in the Engineer's Report to reflect the above changes by filing an amendment thereto. 3. That Monday, the 5th day of February, 1968, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place when and where said Council will consider and finally determine whether the pub- lic interest, convenience and necessity require such changes, and when and where it will consider and finally act upon the matter of making said changes and modifications, and when and where it will hear all protests in relation thereto. The Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this resolution to be published twice in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of gene- ral circulation published in said City and the newspaper in which the Notice of Improvement under said Resolution of Intention was published, and to cause a copy thereof to be posted on or near the Council Chamber door. Said publication and posting shall be com- pleted at least ten (10) days before the date of hearing. * * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 15th day of January, 1968, by the following vote of the members thereof: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Arnold, Beahrs, Berwald, Clark, Gallagher, Pearson, Spaeth, Wheatley NOES, Councilmen: Dias ABSENT, Councilmen: Comstoc , Cooley APPROVED: yor of the City of Palo Alto 2
