RESOLUTION NO. 4060
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
CALIFORNIA AVENUE AREA
PARKING PROJECT NO. 65-9
SURFACE LOT DEMOLITION
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that
WHEREAS, the said Council did, on the 3rd day of January, 1967,
adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 3950 to order the acquisition
and construction of certain public improvements, all as more particu-
larly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of this City is hereby directed
to publish twice, in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper published and
circulated in said City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids
for the demolition of structures on the property being acquired in
said proceedings, designated Assessor's Parcel Numbers 2-70-47,
and 2-70-46
2-70-59, mil. 2-70-45i and referring to the plans and speci-
fications on file in the office of said Clerk, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the time fixed
for opening bids.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by.a cashier's or
certified check payable to the order of the City amounting to ten
per cent (10%) of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable
to said City signed.by the bidder and a corporate surety or by the
bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer compe-
tent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over and
above all statutory exemptions.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City
Clerk not less than ten days from the time of the first publication
of said notice. Bids will be opened, examined and declared by the
City Manager in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto,
California, who shall report to the Council his findings, which
shall be considered by said Council at the second regular meeting next
succeeding the time of receipt of said proposals.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct
copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Council of the
City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 8th
day of January, 1968, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Arnold, Beahrs, Berwald,
Clark, Comstock, Cooley, Dias; Gallagher, Pearson, Spaeth, Wheatley
