A RESOLUTION ORDERING REDUCTION OF ASSESSMENTS
AND ORDERING CERTAIN CONTRIBUTIONS AND ADVANCES

RESOLVED, by the Council of tba City, of ,FA}lo, Alto, Califor ni a
that
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the proj ect und er Resolution
of In tention No. 3141, adopted by the Co uncil of said City on
Septembe r 28,.1959, w as $99,797.76, and foll owi ng the opening of
bids for the wor k, said estimate may be reduced by 1 .748 per cent;
WHEREAS, in the opinion of this Council, th e public, inter est
will be car ved by ma king cer ta in con tributions and adv ances , as
her ein after pa rtic ularly set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT I3 HEREBY ORDERED as follows:
1. That the City Engineer reduce each of said assessment s by
1.748 per cent, which change shall be made on the fade of th e
a sse ssment.
2. That the City shall con tr ibute the a mount of $6,320.00
tow ards the cost of acquisition a nd impro vement of Ar boretum Road
from Willow Roa d to a point a bo ut 240 feet southeaste rly of Qua rry
Roa d, and tha t the assessmen ts for sa id acquisition s an d impro•,e-
ments shall be redu ced accordin gly.
3. That the City shall advance to the Construction Fund for
said project the amount of $1,271.94 on behalf of pr operty appear-
ing on the assessm ent dia gram as Diagram an d Assessment No. 236,
and the a mou nt of $392.44 on behalf of the pro perty appearing on
s aid diagram as Diagram a nd Assessment No. 238; provided, that the
amounts so a dvanced by the City shall be r ecov ered fro m the o wn ers
of said properties at such time as s aid prope rties ar e a nnexed to
the City and are provided with service thro ugh the sanita ry sewer-
age facilities being con structed in East Bayehor e Roa d in said
pr oceedings.
I hereby ce rtify the foregoing to be a tr ue copy of
resolu tion a dopted by the Cou ncil of the City of P alo Alto,
California, at a regular meeting there of held on the 14th
day of Dumber , 195q , by the follo wing vote of
the members thereo f:
