property within said municipality, which said we eds bear s eeds
of a wingy or down y na ture, or which may attain s uch larg e gr owth
as to become, when dry, a fire menace, or which are otherwis e
noxious a nd dangero us; and
•WHEREAS, said weeds co nstitute a public nuis ance;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that s aid weeds do now
constitute and will continue to constitute a publi c nuisance, and
it is ordered that the sa id public nuisa nce be abat ed in the man ner
pr ovided by Article 32A of Codified Ordinance No. 5 of . the City
of Palo Alto and that said nuisance exists upo n all of th e streets,
alleys, sidewalks a nd private pro perty within said City, as shown,
dastrlbe d and elinea ted on the several ma ps of the pro perties in
said City which are rec or de d in the office of the County Re corder
of the County of Sa nta Clar a, reference in each instance for the
description of any particular street, alley or private proper ty
being hereby made to the sev er al ma ps a fo resaid, and, in the eve nt
of there be in g severa l subdivisio n maps on whic h the same lots are
shown, referenc e is hereby made to the latest subdivision map.
AND IT IS ORDERED, that Monday, the 14th day of 9ecostm er, 1959,
at the hou r of 7:30 p. m. of said day, at the Co uncil Chambers
of the City Council of the City of Palo Alto loca ted in the City
Hall of said City, be and the na me is fix ed as the time and place
when objectio ns to the pro posed destr uction or re mov al of such weeds
shall be hear d and give n due consideration.
The Superin tendent of Public Works is he reby ordere d and
dire cte d to cause notice of said hearing to be given in the
time, manne r and form p ro vided in A rticle 32A of s aid C odifi ed
Ordinance No. 5.
The above a nd fo regoing resolution w as duly and r egularly
introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the
City of Palo Alto on Mond ay, the 23 rd day of November
1959, by the following v ote:
