A RESOLUTION AMAIitG AESOLUTION 2971 MAILING
BIRCH AND ASN STUNTS ONE WAY STREETS
AND ARTERIALIZINO ASH STREET
Pursuant to Sectio n 19 .51 of Codified O rdi na nce No . 5
and by of amendment to Section 2 of Resolution 2971,
The Co un cil of the City of P alo Alto resolv es:
Section 1. That Birch Street for its distance from Califo rnia
Avenue to She rida n Ave nue is d esign ated a on e-way street and traffi c
there on shall mov e in a northerly direction only.
Section 2. Aah Str eet for its dist ance from Calif ornia
Avenue to Page M ill Ro ad is designated a one-way stre et and traffic
thereon sha ll move in a So utherly directio n o nly .
Se ction 3. Ash Stre et at its respective inte rsections with
Sherman Ave nue, Gra nt Avenue and Sheridan Avenue, is hereby
designated a throu gh street pursuant to Se ction 19.61, and Secti on
4 of Reso lutio n 2971 is amended accordingly.
Se ctio n 4 The c ha nge made in Sections 1, 2 & 3 shall b ecom e
effective upon the opening to tra ffic of the Page Mill Road -
Oregon Avenu e underpass.
Se ction 5. Upon the effective date of the above pr ov isions
the Parking Zo ne s Map of the City of Palo Alto shall be amended to
reflect said change.

on M onday, November 23 , 1959, by the fo llo wing vote;
