tion went into .'executive seseion.
At ta.ez time Roller took his Beat.
The C,ouncii rose from executive session and the regular
order of busing a,s was resumed.
Acting Elected.
On motion of Miller and Roller Councilman Thoits was
elected acting, Mayor during the absence of '.ayor Swain by unani-
mous vote on roll call, ahoi.te, not voting.
At *..hie eixne Councilman Snyder was excused.
Rules Suspended. Ordinance Introduced,
On motion.. of Peterson and Cooley the rules relating to
the introduction of• ordinances were suspended by unanimous .vote
on roll call.

sion 1 of Section is of Article 2 of Codified Ordinance No. 1 of
the City of Palo Alto" was introduced, given first reading and
referred to Committee• #2.
