The Council of the City of Palo Alto does resolve a+ follows:
WHIMS, Alan .Street from Palo Alto Avenue to southeasterly
city limits, Middlefield Road from northwesterly city limits to
southeasterly city limits, Arboretum Road from Willow Road to
Quarry Road, Willow Road from Arboretum Road to southwesterly
city limits, Lytton Avenue frost Itsm litreat.to $,4dd]:afiald Road,
Univea;sity Avenue from El Casino Real to northeasterly city limits,
Embarcadero Road from El Camino Real to northeasterly city limits,
Page Mill. Road from Riroh Street to southerly city limits, subway
connecting link between Oregon Avenue and Page Hill Road, Oregon
Avenue from Emerson Street to West Bayshore Road, Charleston Road
frau 111 Camino Real to northeasterly city limits, Arastradero Road
froM.S1 Camino Real to southwest^xly city limits, California Avenue
from E1 Camino Real to Park Boulevard, Birch Street from California
Avenue to Page Mill Road, San Antonio Road from Alma Street to •
Bayshore Highway, Newell Road from Embarcadero Road to northerly
city limits, have, by virture of being of greatest general importance
to the City of Palo Alto, become Major City Streets of the City of
Palo Alto;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
resolve as follows:
That the above -named streets be and they are hereby designated
as Major City Streets in the City of Palo Alto, All prionr
resolutions designating certain streets as Major City Streets are
hereby rescinded and superceded.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly

introduced and paused by the Council of the City of Palo Alto
at a regular meeting held on Monday, the 12thday of October ,
1959, by the following vote:
AYBS Ball, Byxbee, Evans, Giffin, Haight, Marshall, Mitchell,
Navis, Porter, Rodgers, Stephens, Woodward.
HOES: None.
ABSENT: Davis, Zweng.
NOT VOTING: Bishop.
