A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OP ESTIMATE
OF COST AND OF PREL/MINARY DETERMINATION AND
OF /NTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California
that
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made and filed with the City
Clerk an Engineer's estimate of coat, datedSeptember 25, 1959,
stating the amount of additional funds needed and the purposes
for which said funds will be used, which purposes are to complete
the acquisitions and improvements deeoribed in Resolution No. 2979
A Resolution of Preliminary Approval of Estimate of Cost and of
Preliminary Determination and of Intention to Make Changes and
Modifications, adopted by said Coun311 on April 14, 1958, and
finally ordered by said Council by Resolution No. 2990, adopted
May 12, 1958;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED as follows:
1. That said Engineer's estimate of cost is hereby prelim-
inarily approved.
2. That it is hereby preliminarily determined that the
public interest, convenience and

(b) Modify the amount of bonds to be issued to provide for
the instance of supplempntal.bonda in the total principal amount
of $21,000.

Notice is hereby given that IPrsigaws the*Kb day of October,
1959, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers,
City Hall, Palo Alto, California, are hereby fixed as the time
and place when and where said Council will oonsider and finally
determine whether the public interest, convenience and necessity
require said changes and modificatio^s without further compliance
with the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority
Protest Act of 1931, and when and where it will consider and
finally act upon the matter of making said changes and modifica-
tions and when and where it will hear all protests in reletion
thereto. Any person interested may appear at said time and place
before the City Council and object to the issuance of said supple-
mental bonds or.to any of the other matters and things herein set
forth.
The City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be
published twice in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general
circulation published in said City, and cause a copy thereof to
be posted near the Council Chamber door, the first of which pub-
lications and said posting shall be at least ten days before the
day set for hearing.
