The Council of the City -of Palo Alto met on this date at
7:30 p.m., pursuant to adjournment ent -of February 18, 1916, with
syar Strain presiding. Roll call as follows:
Present: Congdon, Cooley, Henry, Peterson, Snjrder, , Swain, Thoits,
Wing.
Absent: Ackley, Cramer, ;Jordan, Miller, Mosher, Roller, Vail.
Bond Fund Trunsf er Ji o t Authorized'• :
Chairman :Thai,ts of Committee #4 recommended that the
request of the City Auditor that certain transfers of bond funds
be made be granted. Thoits and Congdon moved that the request be
approved and the motion received a unanimous vote in its favor,
but the Mayor declared the motion lost, as it requires ten votes
to approved such transfer and but eight Councilmen were present.
PavinF Specifications Considered.
The specifications for street paving recommended from
the Board of Public Works were taken up. Mr. Price of City
Street Improvement Company addressed the Council in regard to a
change in the zpet ificauione.•
At this time Councilman Miller and Vail took their seats.
A. C. Root and W. P. hanrahan also addressed the Council,
favoring a change in the specifications.
Vail and Peterson :coved that the Isoard of Public Works
be requested to reconsider the specifications for street paving
and the motion was passed by unanimous vote. .
Adw ournmen t to February 28th.
Vail moved that when tht Council adjourns it adjourn to
ondayr, February 28th, 1916, at ?:30 pm. The motion was seconded
by Peterson. and passed by -unanimous vote.
On motion of Snyder and Peterson the Counc .. ajourned.
