(a) The tmproving of Amherst Street from College Avenue to
California Avenue, the northwesterly etde of Scale Avenue from Barbara
Drive to Embaroadero Road, and the northwesterly side of Garland Drive
from Louis Road southwesterly about 190 feet by grading, removing trees,
bushes and existing structures and constructing or reconstructing Portland
cement concrete sidewalks.

(b) The improving of El ,Camino Way for'ite entire length, Vista
Avenue from El Camino heal to El Camino Way, the northeasterly side of
Dartmouth Street from Eton Park to Stanford Avenue, High Street from
California Avenue to Oregon Avenue, the southwesterly side of Lupine
Avenue from Tract 1816 southeasterly 390 feet more or 1zss, Orinda Street
from Fernando Avenue to Wilton Avenue by grading, removing trees, bushes
and existing structures, constructing or reconstructing Portland cement
concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway aprons, storm water catch
baeine, manholes and drain pipe,'constructing crushed rook base pavement
with plant mix wearing surface, and constructing sanitary sewer, water and

(c) The improving of the southwesterly aide of Arboretum Road from

Tract 1816 to Tract 1580 and an unnamed street running approximately
parallel to and about 100 feet southeasterly of Matadero Canal from Roes
Road northeasterly 470 feet more or less, by grading, removing trees,
bushes and existing etluctures, constructing or reconstructing Portland
cement concrete ourbs, gutters, sidewalks, and !driveway aprons, storm water
catch basins, manholes and drain pipe, constructing crushed rock base
pavement with plant mix wearing surface, installing electroliera with
conduit, conductor cable and pull boxes, and ccmetruoting sanitary sewer,
water and gas services where required.
(d) The opening and widening of Jamea Toad to a uniform 60 -foot
width from El Camino Way to the northwesterly extension of Wilkie Way, the
opening of Wilkie Way 60 feet wide, northwesterly to the James Road
extension, the widening of Amarillo Avenue to t uniform 60 -foot width
from the northeasterly edge of Greer Park to Beiyehoy'e Frontage Road, and
the improving thereof by grading, removing trees, bushes and existing
structures, constructing or reconstructing Portland cement concrete curbs,
gutters, sidewalks, and driveway'aprone, storm water catch basins, manholes
and drain pipe, constructing crushed rock base pavement with plant mix

and appurtenances in the southeasterly extension of Chabot Terrace to
Village Circle, thence northeasterly and southeasterly in Village Circle
to Amarillo Avenue, thence northeasterly in Amarillo Avenue t-.) Bayahore
Frontage Road, thence northwesterly about 650 feet and southeasterly to
Matadero Canal.
(g) The construction of an electrolier with conduit, conductor
cable and pull boxes on Gary Court.
(h) The construction of sanitary sewer mains, manholes, laterals,
and appurtenances in East Bayshare Frontage Road from San Franciequito
Creek to Embarcadero Road.
(i) The acquisition of all easements and the construction of all

assessment district on file in the office of the City Clerk, to
which reference is hereby made for a more detailed description
thereof.
13. Said Council further declares that all public streets
and highways within said assessment district in use in the perform
ance of a, publio function as such, shall be omitted from the
assessment hereafter to be made to cover the costs and expenses
of said aoqutaitions and improvements.
14. Notice is hereby given that bonds to represent the
unpaid aaeeataents and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed
six per cent (6%) per annum will be issued pursuant to Band Plan
C, Part 4, Article IV of the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code,
the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years
from the second day of July next succeeding ten months following
their date.
15. Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance
of bonds, all of said work and improvements, and the proceedings
therefor shall be had pursuant to Article V of said Code.
16.4 Notice is hereby given that Mondry, the 26th day of
October, 1959, at the hour of 7:30 o'olook P.M. at the Council
Chambers of the Council of said City, in the City Hall of said
City of Palo Alto, are hereby fixed as the time and place when
and where any and all persona having any objections to the proposed
acquisitions and improvements or against the district to be assessed
for the costa and expenses thereof, or to the City Engineerls
estimate of the costs and expenses thereof, or against the grades
at which said work shall be done, may appear before said Council and
show cause why said proposed acquisitions and improvements should
not be carried out: in accordance with this Resolution of Intention,
17. The Clerk of said City shall cause this Resolution of
Intention to be published twice in the Palo Alto Times, a daily
newspaper, published and ciroulated in the City of Palo Alto,
which said paper is hereby designated for that purpose, and which
is hereby designated as the newspaper in whioh all further nottes
