RESOLUTION REQUESTIEG WITHDRAWAL FROM ARASTRADERO
LIGHTING DISTRICT OF CERTAIN PROPEkTY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF PALO ALTO
The Council of the City of Palo Alto resolves:
• Section 1. A portion of the property included in the Arastradero
Lighting District has been annexed•to the City of Palo Alto. Said
portion is in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, and
described as:
Beginning at the point of intersection of
the center line of El Camino Real with the
Northeasterly prolongation of the Southeasterly
line of Ma bell•,Avenue, said point being on
the general Northwesterly line of Foothills
Annexation No. 2 to the City of Palo Alto;
thence in a general Southerly direction along
said general Northwesterly line to the Northr
easterly line of the lands of or formerly of
Leland Stanford, Jr. University; thence South-
easterly along said Northeasterly line (said
line being the Northeasterly line of lands of
the Palo Alto Unified School District)and its
Southeasterly prolongation to the centerline
of Arastradero Road; thence Northeasterly along
said centerline to a point on the Northwesterly
prolongation of the Southwesterly line of
Tract No. 792 Green Actes; thence Southeasterly
along the Northwesterly prolongation.of said
Southwesterly line and along timid Southwesterly
line to the centerline of Adobe Creek; thence
Northeasterly along said centerline to the
centerline of El Camino Real; thence North-
westerly along said centerline to the point
of beginning.'
Section 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Street and Highway
Code, Section 5853, the Board of Supervisors of Sante Clara County is
requested to exclude such territory from Arastradero Lighting District
•

Introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the
City of Palo Alto held Monday, the 14th day of September , 1959,
by the following vote:
AYES: Bishop, Byxbee, Davis, Evans, Giffin, Haight, Marshall,
Mitchell, Nevis, Porter, Rodgers, Stephens, Woodward, Zweng.
NOES: None.
ASSENT: None.
