The Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date at
8 p.m., purSdant to adjournment of August i6th, 1915, and in ac-
cordance with the protisions of the Charter and Codified Ordinances
of the City of Palo Alto. Mayor Swain presided. Roll call as
follows:.
Present: Congdon, Cooley, Henry, Jordan, Miller, Roller, Snyder,
Swain, 'ging.
Absent: Ackley, Cramer, Flosher, Peterson, Thoits, Vail. -
Invitation to Council:
An invitation wes received from the Palo Alto 1915 Float
Committee asking the Council to participate in the Admission Day
parade in San Francisco. The clerk was instructed to notify the.
members of the Council not present of the invitation.

The- Clerk reported the tax rate .as fixed by the Budget for t
the fiscal year 1915-1916 to be as follows:'
