NOTICE OF ANNEXATION ELECTION
IN THE TERRITORY KNOWN AS
"GARDEN TERRACE ANNEXATION 1-A"
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election is hereby
called to be held on the 18th day of August, 1959, in that certain
territory hereinafter described and designated "Garden Terrace
Annexation 1-A", for the purpose of submitting to the qualified
electors residing in said territory the question of whether or
not said territory designated "Garden Terrace Annexation 1-A" shall
be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the City of
Palo Alto, and whether or not the property in said territory
shall, after such annexation, be subject to taxation equally with
the property within the City of Palo Alto to pay the entire
bonded indebtedness of the City of Palo Altn outstanding or
authorized at the date of the first publication of this notice of
election for the acquisition, construction and completion of
municipal improvements.
Said territory is designated and identified for purposes of
this annexation and said election and for use upon the ballots
at said election as "Garden Terrace Annexation 1-A". The boundaries
of the territory proposed to be annexed are specifically described
in the document affixed hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by
reference made a part hereof.
For purposes of said special election there has been esta-
blished in said territory one voting precinct comprising all of
the territory proposed to be annexed. Polling place for said
precinct will be as follows:
137 Monroe Drive
Santa Clara County, California
The polling place will be opened at 7:00 a. m. and closed
at 7:00 p. m. on said August 18, 1959.

The proposition to be submitted to the electors and to be
printed upon the ballots shall be as follows:
"Shall Garden Terrace Annexation 1-A
be annexed to the City of Palo Alto
and the property in the territory
subjected to taxation after annexation
equally with the property within the
City of Palo Alto to pay the entire
bonded indebtedness of the City of Palo
Alto .Outstanding or authorized at the
date of the first publication of this
