and declares that the value of land from which protests have been
received on or before June 18, 1959 is $ 0.00 and that
no majority protest has been received.
,Section 2. There is hereby called a special elution for
August 18, 1959, within the territory known as Garden Terrace
Amsexotthn 1-A at which there shall be submitted to the electors
reeSsiing in the territory ; the question of whether such territory
should be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the City
af..,= - and't[ `property in such territory subjected to taxa-
tion after annexation equally with the property within the City
of Palo Alto to pay the bonded indebtedness for the acquisition,
construction or completion of municipal improvements outstanding
or authorised on April 27, 1959
At such election the proposition to be submitted to the electors
of the territory shall be:
"Shall Garden Terrace Annexation 1-1
be annexed to the CLty of Palo Alto
and the property in the territory
subjected to taxation after annexation

City of Palo Alto to pay the entire
bonded indebtedness of the City of Palo

Sec,tion„24 The Clerk .s directed "to cause notice of the
election to be published at least once a week for the four weeks
prior to the election, in a newspaper of general circulation, printed
and published outside the City, but in the County in which the

territory is situated," such notice to be in compliance with
Government Code, Sections 35124 and 35148.
Introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council
of the City of Palo Alto held, Monday, Jun ?;2 , 1959,
by the following vote:
