RESOLVED, by the Coun41Y at the..City of Palo Alto, California,
WHERI , the location,of tl a •portion of the City of Palo Alto
iozown as Poothille Annexation No. 1-A ,is such that it cannot ade-
quately or oonver3ier}tly e provided with municipal utility service
unless the City constructs and maintains connecting facilities in
Page Mill Road, a portion of which is within the boundaries of the
Purissima Hills County Water Lietrict;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDE t D, as follows:
1. That request be, and it 1s hereby, made of the Board of
Directors of. the Puriesima Hills County Water District that said
District agree with this City that the City may construct, operate
and maintain, at the sole expense of the City, water pipes, mains
and conduits and sanitary and storm sewers and sewer mains, all
with the necessary appurtenances, in that portion of Page Mill
Road within the boundaries of said District.
2. That said water pipes, mains and conduits shall be lo-
cated in the westerly one-half of said Road; that said sanitary
sewers shall be located in the center of said Road, as nearly as
may be; and that said storm sewers shall be located in the easterly'
one-half of said Road; provided, that such use shall be located
so as to interfere as little as possible with other existing uses
of said Road; and provided, further, that such location may be
changed if necessary to avoid such interference or to improve the
quality of service or to lower maintenance cost.
3. That the construction, operation and maintenance of said
storm drainage facilities ;hall be under the direction of the City
Engineer of the City, and of said water and sanitary sewer facili-
ties under the direction of the Chief Engineer, Water -Gas -Sewer
