Spalattzoaand Roeetti, attorneys for L.Porizini, garage collector, addressed the Council in the interests of their client. `Councilxn n Vail stated that he had been absent when Ordinance #105 was passed and that he did not approve of the provisions of the ordinance. He -moved that the o rdi^ance be repealed and the. subject be referred back to committee. The mo- tion was declared put of order. An ordinance entitled "An ordinance relating to the discharge or escape into the open air of smoke, dust, steam or offensive odors" was introduced and read as an ener,;e^cy meas- ure. Lakin ands ,usher moved that the ordinance be adopted, and the motion was .lost by the following vote on roll call: vez: Congdon, Jordan, 'Lakin, Miller. ?..:o Sher, Swain, Thoits, Vail. Noes; Hettinger, LaPeire.
