HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 3091AYES: RESOLUTION NO. 3091 A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE CITY'S NEEDS AND AUTHORIZING SnE THEREOF TO THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA The Council of the City of Palo Alto resolves: Section 1. The following described property is hereby declared surplus to the needs of the City and its sale to the County of Santa Clara is hereby authorized for the price of $74,700.00: All that certain real property situated in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the South- westerly line of Park Boulevard (formerly Third Street) as said Boulevard exists sixty feet in width, with the Southeasterly line of Sherman Avenue (40 feet wide); thence running Southeasterly along said line of Park Boulevard 260.00 feet to a point on the Northwesterly line of Grant Avenue (60 feet wide); thence Southwesterly along said line of Grant Avenue 191.57 feet to the most southerly corner of Lot 88 as shown upon that certain Map ent.itled "Mayfield, as surveyed for W. Paul, Esqr." which Map was filed for record in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on July 9, 1867 in Volume "C" of Miscellan sous Records, at page. 641; thence Northwesterly, along the Southwesterly linesof Lots 88 and 87 as shown upon said Map, 260 feet to the most Westerly corner of said Lot 87, said last named corner being also a point upon the above mentioned line of Sherman Avenue; thence Northeasterly along said line of Sherman Avenue 191.57 feet to the point of beginning, being all of Lotr 87 and 88 and the South- westerly 89 feet of Lots 89,90 and 91 as shown upon said Map. Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract of sale of the above property in substantial compliance with the form submitted herewith and hereby approved, to execute a grant deed conveying such property and to execute any other documents necessary to convey merchantable title to the County. Introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Palo Alto held Monday, April Z7 by the following vote: Bishop, Byxbee, Corcoran, Cresap, Davis, Evans, Giffin, Marshall, Porter, Rodgers, Ruppenthal, Stephens, Woodward.
