The: Council of the City of Palo Alto met inreuular
session on this date at 8 p.m., with Mayor Thoits presiding.

Absent: Ackley.

1914, were read and approved ee react.
Observance of t;emorial rn.v.
D. B. Willard requested, the Council to authorize the:
Mayor to appoint a finance committee .of citizens to aid McKinley
Poet G.A. :. , in.arranging for the obeervance of Memorial Day.rnd
to request business houses to cl oee on that day. The Posit also
extended en invitation to the City Officials to attend the Memor-
ial Day exercises.

Resolution O derin ° -Street Work.
On motion of Wing and Lakin,a resolution entitled, "Resolu-
tion Ordering Street Work, No.. 3; (1914)" was passed by unanimous
7, to on roll call.
Proposal for Bond Issue.
The report of the Board of Public Works in the matter
of a proposed bond issue was taken up.
On motion of Wing and Mosher the 'proposi t±on to in-
clude in the bond issue $9,500.00 for a subway was approved -
Wing and Hettinger moved that the pr. of oei tion to in-
ci2de $ 0,000.-00 for storm water sewers be not included in the
bond issue and the motion was adopted..
A motion by' Mosher and Peterson that U5,000.00 for, a street
paving revolving_. fund be included in the bond issue was adopted,
Wing and--Co:agdon- moved -twat 635,O00. 00 for parrs and
gaygrounds be included in the bond issue. Hettinger and Jordan
