RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO OETAIN THE SERVICES
OF G. E. TARLETON, REGISTRAR OF VOTES,, IN CONNECTION WITH
THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BEHELD ON MAT 12, 1959.
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, it is the duty of the City Clerk to conduct municipal
elections; and
WHEREAS, the services of an election specialist are necessary for
conducting said elections;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk is hereby authorized to hire the
services of G. E. Tarleton, Registrar of Voters of the County of Santa Clara,
to aid in the conduct of the general municipal election to be held on May 12,
1959 in the City of Palo Alto; such services to be of such nature that G. E.
Tarleton is not required by reason of his official position to perform.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Oslo Alto held
. on 010 9th day of March, 1959, by the following vote:
AYES: Mitchell, Nevis, Porter, Stephens, Woodward, •
NOES: None.
