siori on this date at 7:30 p.m., with .'ayor Thoits presiding, Roll
call as follows:

The minutes of the regular meeting of November 10/19.13
and of the adjourned regular meeting of =aovernber 17th,, 1913, were
read and approved as read -

Councilman Swain, -chairman of Committee ?42'. made a report
in the matter of the request of San Mateo county that Palo Alto
join in the campaign for the extermination on of misquitoes. He
stated that the investigation snows that O or 955 of the mis-
quitoes that. appear, in Palo Alto are broui ht here by the winds

On motion of Jordan and Henry, 't:tie report was accepted
and the recommendations adopted, ane, was directed that the eO -

Committee #5 reported tat filing cases had been ordered -
from the , ". G. Vvest Co. and the Library Bureau.
Committee #5 recommended that. an additional $;OO be
transferred to the trust fund for the benefit of depositors of
water and light before v anuary l st, 1914.
On motion of Ackley and Hettinger, the report was ac-
cepted and the r"eco;.:endat or. adopted that $100 now in the'hanas. ep
the auditor. -be so deposited.
Jordan and Miller moved that Ordinance !96 be interp:reteti-
by the Council to the effect that all money. turned in to the city
as deposits by consumers of water and l':.; ht be deposited with t e-
trcasurer In•accordance with the charter. The motion was carried.-
Peninsular Railway <r9 Tax.
A communication was read from the Peninlula.r Railway
Company relative to the amount due the city from the. 2`' franchi e
tax. On Motion of Vail and LaPeire the matter was referred M(3•C0c"
mittee #5 with power to act.
Committee on Annexation.
Chairman Jordan of the special committee on annexati-on
reported that the committee held a public meeting and circulated'
literature relative to the proposition. On motion the comvattee.
