Absent: Congdon, Vail, Vandervoort. The minutes of the zneetirge of Alzg et 11 and of September 2, 1913, were read and approved a Communication from League of Munici;a&li;,ie.. it communication from the League of California ::"unicipal- ivies was read relative to the convention to be held in Venice on octoober 6-11, 1913. Light at Middlefield Bridge —Appropriation. Chairman Hettinger of Committee #1 made a report in re- gard to placing a 1 ight at the Middieficlrl road bridge. The City Zngineer stated that .if the poles of the Pacific Gas and Electric' Co. or the Telephone Co.,. were'used., the cost of installing the '. light would be about 450, but if the city pole line were extend- ed, the cost would be about $100. .. ,On motion'of Wing and Swain a sufficient sum was appro- priated from the general fund to pay the cost of installing such light by unanimous vote cn:r ll call. The motion was adopter. The original motion, adopting the ordinance se amended, was carried by unanimous vote on roll call.
