The Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date at 8 p, pursuant to the following call: "Palo Alto, Cal., Au uat 20, 1913: You are hereby ea.: ti.f.i d that a meeting of the Council of the City of Palo Alto inas been called by: Mayor E. Councilman Vving, chairman of Committee 44, presented the Proposed Budget, and made a :'tatement as to the method of its pre- paration, commending Committee #4 and the City Clerk for the effi- cient manner in which said. Budget had been prepared. Goode giving his opinion that the salary should be not less then $150 per month. The Mayor reversed his decision and declared the mo- tion to amend was lost. On :motion of Jordan and Hettinger an appeal was taken from the decision of the Mayor.
