in accordance with bids received, be awarded to the Federal Corstruc-
tio:r Company, the lowest responsible bidder.

Congdon, chairman of Committee No. 4 reported that the corr-
ittee had i nveet5. ated the matter of the adoption of an amendment
tc the charter in relation to the deposit of funds, .and had found
:na.t there is not time to hold an election and get the amendment e -
fore the :,tate :Legislature for approval at this session.
Attorney Malcolm stated, that a law hap been proposed by the
present yegislature, which, if enacted, will make the proposed amend -
lent unnecessary.
At this time Vandervoort took his seat.

Soldier's ax .21xemption Allowed.
The City Attorney advised the Council in the matter of
4 of that t' who had f to file the Soldier's tax ex.e:n, ian that those failed _e.d _ ie a
statement as required by law before the assessment .roll was com-
pleted have no legal redress, but that the Council '1113 the right
to rebate the amount of .such exemption.
':ins; and Mosher moved that the rebate be, allowed to those
persons entitled to such rebate, but who failed to file statements
in time.
A substitute motion by Congdon, duly seconded, that .�.:3.
