The Council ofthe City of c.lo Alto met in regular ses-
sion on this date, at N p.m., with . ,::.;jor Jordan ores ding. Roll
call as follows;

approved as read.

Communications.
A communication was read from the oye' Band. of Oakland,
requesting, that a camping ground be provided for said 'sand for one
night. On motion of Wing and '.-usher the requeot was referred to the
City :&ngineer, to secure a camping place.
A communication was received from the Committee on Flag
Day Fete of Los Gatos, in-liting the Council and citizens of Palo
A.l oto participate in the celebration of ^lag Day at. that place on
June 14th. The Clerk was instructed to acknowledge receipt of the
same.
A communication from. D. A. Curry in reference to summer
rate;, for telephone service was received and ordered filed.
Special Committee Re+ orts Progress.
Councilman Congdon reported for the special committee to
investigate the purchase of bonds with funds in the city treasury,
that the matter. is under consideration and advised that action be
delayed until after July 1, 1912. The report was accepted and tee
committee given further time.
Palo Alto Gas Co. vs Palo Alto.
The City Attorney reported that the necessary legal steps
had, been taken in the case of the Palo Alto Gas Company against the
City of'Palo Alto in the matter of the temporary order reetrining
the City from enforcing Ordinance. No. 69, •and that the Court had
allowed each side five days in which to plead.

Ordinance No. 79 entitled "An ordinance providing for the
incurring of a bonded indebtedness for the City of Palo Alto, in
the County of Santa Clara, State of California, in the sum of
36OOO, in gold coin of the United States of America, to pay the
cost of certain public municipal improvements of said City, and pro-,
viding for the issuance of bonds evidencing such indebtedness" as
given second reading. Vail moved that .said ordinance No. 79 be a-
dopted. The motion was seconded by Mosher and carried by un .nimoua
vote on roll call„
Ordinance No. 80 Adopted-..Sr..le of 7ilk.
Ordinance i'o. 80, entitled °.rn ordinance regulating dair-
ies and the sale of milk and cream or either within the City of
Palo Alto" was given second reading. Ackley moved that said ordi-
nance be adopted. The motion was seconded by Ii n,,, and carried by
the following vote on roll call.

The report of the Department of Works for April and of the
Auditor for May were received -and ordered filed.
The Health Officer made a verbal report in regard to rabies
itowi^. , the conditions unchanged.
Balance in Auto Fire Car Fund Trumzferred.
Attorney s"alco1m reported that the balance in the :nOOO bond
fund for the purchase of a combined automobile chemical a.nd hose wagon
cold not be used for the purchase of other fire equipm-e^t.
On motion of Wing and ":'other it was ordered that the .;,nex-
pe^ded balance in said fund be transferred to the general fund by unan-
imous vote on roll call.
On motion of Wing, duly seconded, it was ordered that an a-
so:,:It equal to the unexpended balance in said fund be appropriate to
