A communication was read from the Board of Public Works, s, relative to the City lot at University Avenue and Waverley Street, recommending that an appropriation of $600 be made in accordance with the report of the City Engineer for the improvement of said lot. Mosher moved that the report be accepted and the recommen- dation adoptea,, and that $600 be transferred from the General .:1‘md to the street Department Fund for said purpose. The motion was seconded by Hettinger and carried by unanimous vote on roll call. Reports Received. The report of the Board of Public ',:'orke for December, 1911, and of the Board of Public Safe Treasurer the .d•- Safety, the ire43u.'e and Auditor for January, 1912, were received and on motion were ac- cepted and ordered filed. Authorizes to LeU.In ts. On motion of Hyde and Mosher, the City Attorney was empow- ered to cring suit against the Emporium, the V(iite Rouse and other parties to collect unpaid license taxes. The rtforney reported that the release of liens for Street improvement is about ready for recording in the County Re- corder's office in San Jose. He.a.lso reported that he and the Clerk are at work on making a record. of property sold for delin- quent taxes. Default of Franchise.
