RESOLUTION NO. 3030
WHEREAS, it has been proposed to expend certain bond funds
resulting from the Recreation Bond Issue of 1956 for furnishing and
delivering lighting fixtures for installation in Rinconada Park
and
WHEREAS, specifications therefor were adopted and sealed bids
were requested for such furnishing and delivering, to be opened at
3:00 P. M., Thursday, August 14, 1958 and,
WHEREAS, no bids on such proposal were received from any one,
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Palo Alto
3eotion 1. That, pursuant to Section 6, Article VII of the
Charter, the City shall undertake to do the work itself.
koction 2, That the City Manager is hereby authorized, in
hie discretion, to accomplish the work either by City forces or
negotiated contract with a private firm or individual as he shall
deem most advantageous to the City.
Section 3. The cost of performing aucn work shall be paid from
money available in the Recreation Bond Issue of 1956 fund.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and passed at a regular meeting of the Counoil of the City of
Palo Alto held on Monday, the 25th day of August , 1958,
by the following vote:
AYES: Byxbee, Corcoran, Crseap, Evans, Marshall, Mitchell,
Mavis, Porter, Rodgers, Stephens, Woodward.
NOES: Xone.
ABSENT: BAshop, Davis, Giffin, luppenthal
