WHEREAS, under the proviMaas of Chapter 1739, Statutes 1953. the
Legislature has appropriated funds from the State Highway Fund to the Public
Utilities Commission for allocation to counties and cities for the construction
of grade protections; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desire* to submit to the Public Utilities
Commission a request for allocation of funds for protection at the crossing of
Park Boulevard over the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks (Crossing No. EN -32.0)i
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does resolve
as follows:
That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to execute, for and in
behalf of the City of Palo Alto, a request for allocation of fonds from the Crossing
Protection Fund in the maximum amount of $2,415.00 for protection at the cross-
ing of Park Boulevard over Southern Pacific Railroad tracks (Crossing No. EN -32.0).
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Pale Alto on Monday,
the 9th day of June, 1958. by the following vote:
Bishop, Byxbee, Cresap, Davis, trans, Gitlin, Marshall,
AYES: Mitchell, Porter, Rodgers, Ruppenthal, Stephens, Woodward.
NOES: Mons.
ABSENT: Corcoran, Mavis.
