CALIFORNIA AVENUE PEDESTRIAN UNDERPASS
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Paito Alto
California, that!
1. The public interest and necessity require the acquisi-
tion, construotion and completion, by said City of the following
public improvement, to aitt a pedestrian underpass.
2. An easement over the paro.el of property described in
Exhibit "A" attaohed hereto in thf4ity of Palo Alto, County of

3. The proposed aoquisitiens and improvements are planned
and located in the manner which will be most compatible with the
grratdst.'public good and the least private injury, and all of said

of Palo Alto.
4. The City Attorney and the law firm of Messrs. Kirkbride
Wilson, Herzfeld & Wallace, employed for that purpose, are hereby
directed to institute and conduct to conclusion an action in
eminent domain for the acquisitions of said easements, and to take
such action au is necessary therein.

An Easement for Pedestrian Underpass Purposes over the following
described parcel of land:
A11 that certain parcel of land situate in the City of Palo Alto,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at:the point of intersection of the Northeasterly 41010,
of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company Right of Way, as thCehle
now exists, said line also being the Southwesterly line of Al+sg
Street, with the Southeasterly line of California Avenue, as the
same now exists; thence along the said Southeasterly line of
California Avenue South 33° 25' 53" West 180.00 Peet; thence
parallel with said Northeasterly line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company Right of Way, South 51° 32' 53" Bast 15.00 feet;
thence parallel with the said Southeasterly line of California
Avenue, North 33° 25' 53" East 180.00 feet to a point in said
Northeasterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company Right
of Way; thence along said Northeasterly line, North 51° 32' 53"
West 15.00 feet to the point of beginning.
