GRADE SEPARATION PROJECT
RESOI VEIL by the Ooanpil of the CttY Of Pala Alto,
California, that
1. The public interett and necessity require the
acquisition,:construction and completion by aaid City of the follow
ing public 1mproveaent,,.to:wit: A public street and grade
mewl -ration.
2. An easement over the parcel of property described
in Exhibit "A",attacred hereto,in the City of Palo Alto, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, is nebessary for such improvement
3. The proposed acquisitions and improvements are
planned and located in the manner which will be most compatible wit
the greatest public good and the least private injury, and all of
said, aoquieitions are located within the territorial lisita of the
city e1' Relo Alto.
4. The City Attorney and the law firm of Messrs.
Kirkbride, Wilson, Herzfeld & Wallace, employed for that purpose,
are hereby directed to institute and conduct to conclusion an
action in eminent domain for the acquisition of said easement, and
to take such action as is necessary therein.

An Easement tor Road and. Public Utility Purposes over the follow-
ing described paroel of land:
A11 that certain parcel of land situate in the City of Palo Alto,
County of Santa Clara, State of California; described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Northwesterly line of Sheridan Street,
as shown on that certain map entitled "lisp of addition to the
Town of Mayfield," which map was recorded in the office of the
County Reoorder of the County of•Santa Clara in Book "B" of
Miscellaneous Records, page 642, said Northwesterly line when
prolonged Northeasterly intereeote the line of the survey for the
Southern Paolfic Railroad Company Right of Way at Station 342+58.3,
said point on said Northwesterly line being the Northeasterly -
corner of Lot 2, Blook 4 as shaven on said map above referred to;
thence along the Northeasterly line of said Lot 2, said line also
being tke Southwesterly line of that certain parcel of land
described in the Deed from Welter Elmhurst to the San pranoisco
and San Jose Railroad C rwoorded in Volume V of Deeds, page
161, North 51 451 West 111.00 feet to the most Southerly corner
of that oertain 0.562 Gore parcel of land described in the Lease
from Southern Pacific Railroad Company to Standard 011 Coapanar of
California, dated March 1, 1927; thence along the Southeas srly
line of said 0.562 acre parcel of land, North 33' 100 Bast 187.00
feet to the most Easterly corner thereof; said point being the
true point of beginning of this description; thence South 78' 011 13"
East 79.74 feet; thence North 2" 221 East 168.36 feet to a point in
the Northeasterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company
Right of Way, as the same now exists, said line also being the
Southwesterly line of Alma Street; thence along said Northeasterly
line of said Right of Way, North 51' 321 53" West 126.22 feet;
thence South 2" 221 West 133.19 felt thence South 5' 320 44" Nast
70.72 feet; thence South 2 221 West 24.50 feet to a point an the
Northerly line of said 0.562 acre penal; thane along said 0.562
acre parcel, South 80' 45+ East 13.75 feet to the point of
beginning.
